It's amazing how 4 years fly by. I remember when we arrived to Rochester and Jon started Medical School. Friday, May 15th, seemed surreal to me. I can't believe that Jon has completed school and graduated. He is now Dr. Wood. Of course, he will still just be Jon to all of us who know him. I am so proud of him and the great accomplishment he has done. Jon worked really hard the last four years and I couldn't be prouder of his accomplishments and graduating with honors. Jon has received a couple awards here and there
throughout the years, but his biggest was receiving A.O.A., which is the Medical Honor Society. We got to celebrate his honor back in February. There was a big dinner that Jon,
his Dad, and I got to attend which followed with the awards. We are so proud of you Jon for getting A.O.A! Several people came to support
Jon on graduation. Thank you to his mom, Lark, Bill and Billy, his dad Rodger, Carolyn, Aunt Becky, Grandpa Wood, and my mom Marie for coming out to support Jon. Friday was a big day for Jon, first thing in the morning he was commissioned a Captain, by his Aunt Becky. It's kind of nice to hear the oath he took in defending our country. Later, while Ben stayed home with Grandma Christensen and Uncle Billy we attended an awards ceremony. No, Jon did not receive an award, but none of the
awards had anything to do with Radiology. Jon was the only person in his class to go into Radiology, which is unusual because it is so competitive. We had all our guests come
for lunch at our place. It was nice to have even his Grandpa Wood come out for this big day. Graduation was quick and painless, the end got a little hard with a 2 year old, but when
Ben saw his Daddy cross the stage he was excited to see him and kept yelling out "Daddy!" Jon's Dad was also able to hood Jon at graduation. It was neat to see all of the other grandparents, siblings, fathers, or mothers having the honor to hood their child at graduation. Unfortunently our camera died in the middle of the ceremony, so we only have pictures of what others have taken and given us. After graduation we took Ben home to go to bed and stay with a baby-sitter while the rest of us had a nice peaceful dinner at
P.F. Changs. It was a busy day, but we are all so proud of Jon that it went by fast and was a great day. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful husband who worked so hard to be a great provider for our family. We love you Jon and Congratulations on a job well done!
