Preschool

Benjamin started preschool 3 weeks ago. It has taken some time for him to get use to the routine. I think if we hadn't gone on our trip to Idaho before hand he would have adjusted a lot better sooner. He is finally starting to be okay with me dropping him off and not grabbing my leg or sobbing as I say good-bye. The best option for us down here in San Antonio, for a preschool, was to have him attend a Christian School. We have been working on his colors and he is starting to show progress in knowing them. I just found out that my Dad is colorblind so we think he might be colorblind with a few colors. He seems to be mixing up his reds and blues. He is also learning "bible verses". He has just finished memorizing his first, Genesis 1:1. When I pick him up from school he says how much fun he always has, the first thing is usually playing with the toys and as the days have gone on he has talked about playdough and even started singing new songs at home. I am hoping this will be a good experience for him and that he learns to love it. It will be a big help when the new baby comes and he has something of his own to do.

Pregnancy Update

Things are going well with the pregnancy. I had an appointment today and according to the NP I have a new due date, November 5th. Since Benjamin was a small baby and I seem to be measuring small I am still going to go ahead and say October 31st. I'll even take caster oil the night before if I have too. I'm not gaining as much weight as I did with Ben, I've only gained 20lbs so far. I am eating better then I did with Ben and plus I have him to run around after. This baby is SO active. Apparently I am suppose to keep tract at how often it moves. They are wanting 10 movements within a 2 hour period. I think this baby makes it's first 10 movements in the first 5 minutes and continually moves. It is very strong too, sometimes I'm worried it will punch a whole right through my uterus. I know it won't happen, but it's very strong. It seems to be sitting lower then Ben did so I am constantly going to the bathroom and my lower back is bothering me, especially when I sit or lay down for awhile. My dad took the picture above at my sister's wedding. I had Jon take one the other day, but the other one looked better. The time seems to be flying by, but other times it seems to be going slow. I'm excited to find out what we are having and meet this new little addition to our family. Hopefully Ben will enjoy it as well.

Lisa's Wedding

My sister got married last month. Benjamin and I flew out a week early for the wedding. Lisa wanted me to be in her bridal party. I asked if she was sure that she wanted a seven month pregnant woman in her line. She was fine with it, so Ben and I went out a week early so my mom could make my dress. Little side note, she made all the dresses including Lisa's. My mom is so talented and she did a beautiful job. Lisa's dress was a little different, from what I've ever seen, but look fabulous on her. Poor Lisa had to work everyday, up to the day of the wedding and wasn't able to get much done herself, so I got to help out with many of the finishing touches to the wedding. It was one crazy week, and I did more over that week then I have in a long time,since being pregnant, it has taken awhile to recover. The wedding turned out nicely. My cousin Nicole made the cake, which I thought turned out really cute. Josh, her now husband, is a great guy. We are all happy to see Lisa happy and being treated well. He even cares about Tavia, Lisa's daughter, which says a lot about him. It was great seeing many old friends and family. We hope that you three are very happy together. Congratulations Lisa, Josh, and Tavia, we're happy for all of you!
