Milestone Birthday!

I remember thinking 30 was so old, and that I would have accomplished so much more by the time I was 30! What have I accomplished to date: I have a wonderful husband, who works hard to support us. I have 2 children who keep me busy, and teach me more about myself then I knew. Such as: I need to work on patience, I am not super mom, and though my challenges are different, life is still a learning game and a work in progress. I am currently serving as a Seminary Teacher in our ward, so for those who know me, getting up early has been a challenge, but one that has been doable with Heavenly Father's help. I haven't accomplished my goal in education, but everything has a time and season, right? Instead I try to learn new things along the way to broaden my skills. For instance, I've almost completed all the cake decorating classes that Wilton has to offer. There are so many things that I wish I could have done differently, but I am happy with the life I have and only try to look forward to the many more things I will accomplish. My birthday was a good day. As a family we went out to IHOP for breakfast. Later that day, Jon and I got a baby-sitter. We went to Six Flags, which was fun to be able to ride the bigger rides and not worry about whose watching the kids and to ride with another person that wasn't a stranger. We were there for almost 4 hours, which was fun. We then went out to Olive Garden for dinner. I've decided that one of my most favorite things to do is eat out. I'm not sure why, but having someone else do the cooking always seems to taste better. It was a great birthday! And I close with the words of the famous Tim McGraw:

I think I’ll take a moment, celebrate my age
The ending of an era and the turning of a page
Now it’s time to focus in on where I go from here
Lord have mercy on my next thirty years

Hey my next thirty years I’m gonna have some fun
Try to forget about all the crazy things I’ve done
Maybe now I’ve conquered all my adolescent fears
And I’ll do it better in my next thirty years

My next thirty years I’m gonna settle all the scores
Cry a little less, laugh a little more
Find a world of happiness without the hate and fear
Figure out just what I’m doing here
In my next thirty years

Oh my next thirty years, I’m gonna watch my weight
Eat a few more salads and not stay up so late
Drink a little lemonade and not so many beers(not that I drink it)
Maybe I’ll remember my next thirty years

My next thirty years will be the best years of my life
Raise a little family and hang out with my wife(husband)
Spend precious moments with the ones that I hold dear
Make up for lost time here ,In my next thirty years
