This year for Easter was much the same as it was last year. Just another Sunday. We woke up, relaxed, and hung out. However, this year since Benjamin could actually eat the candy we waited until he ate some breakfast before
we gave him his Easter basket. He seemed to enjoy it a lot. He dug through the candy looking for what he wanted. He also shared with his mommy and daddy which was very nice of him. We then went to church. Grandma Lark provided the Easter outfit this year.
Doesn't he look handsome. I think with his blond hair he can really pull off the yellow and green real nicely. Church was only an hour so we could all "go spend time with our families." With Jon's new calling it made it easier to go to church come home and let Ben have a little nap before dinner. We had our monthly group dinner with our fellow med-student friends. It was nice being around friends to celebrate the occasion. After dinner we had a little Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. I don't thing Ben knew quite what to do, but after
awhile he kinda got the idea. He would start to shake the eggs and if they made a noise he would put them in the bag or try and open them. If they didn't make a noise he would put them back on the ground. He did well though for his first egg hunt. Maybe next year he'll know what's going on and get into the groove of things. Over all it was a good day. The sun was shining and it was a nice day to reflect on our Savior and His sacrifice for us.
